Fill Dirt

Low spots, uneven grade, building pads, drainage problems — we deliver and spread clean fill dirt where you need it across North Central Florida.

Common Uses

Lot Leveling

Bring a sloped or uneven lot to a workable grade for construction, farming, or landscaping.

Building Pads

Raise and level the footprint for a home, barn, garage, or outbuilding to code-required height above grade.

Low Area Fill

Fill ponds, depressions, and low spots that hold water after rain — reducing mosquito habitat and drainage issues.

Driveway & Road Base

Build up roadbed or driveway base before gravel or asphalt to prevent future settling and ruts.

Erosion Repair

Fill and stabilize areas damaged by erosion, washouts, or root removal.

Grade Correction

Regrade yard or field drainage so water flows away from structures and into ditches.

How It Works

1

Site Assessment & Volume Estimate

We visit the site, assess how much fill is needed (cubic yards), confirm access for delivery trucks, and quote the job including spreading and rough grading.

2

Delivery

Fill dirt is delivered by dump truck. We coordinate multiple loads as needed for the volume required.

3

Spreading & Grading

We spread and rough-grade the fill using our equipment — not just dump and leave. The final grade is to your spec.

4

Compaction (if needed)

For building pads or areas requiring structural fill, we can compact each lift. Ask about this when you call.

Fill Dirt Pricing

Pricing depends on volume, delivery distance, and grade complexity. Confirm all rates with owner before launch.

How to estimate your volume: Length (ft) × Width (ft) × Depth (ft) ÷ 27 = cubic yards. A 50×50 area raised 6" = 46 cu yds. When in doubt, call us — we'll calculate it from the site walk.

Fill Dirt FAQs

How much does fill dirt cost in Florida?
Typically $15–$30/cubic yard delivered and spread in North Central Florida. Screened or clean fill is slightly higher. Volume discounts apply on large jobs.
How many cubic yards do I need?
Use the formula: Length × Width × Depth (all in feet) ÷ 27 = cubic yards. Call us and we'll estimate it from your site dimensions.
What's the difference between fill dirt and topsoil?
Fill dirt is subsoil — used for raising grade, building pads, and structural fill. Topsoil is nutrient-rich and used for planting. For most grading and filling projects, fill dirt is what you need.
Do you do the grading too, or just drop it off?
We deliver and spread — not just dump and leave. Basic rough grading is included. Ask about fine grading for specific drainage needs.
